Biography: I am originally from Michigan and received my secondary education BA from Central Michigan University. Upon moving to Minnesota, I received my BS degree for Family and Consumer Sciences from NDSU. I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember, so this is my dream career. I believe in respect, rapport, and rigor for my students. I believe that all students have the right to be respected for what they already know in order to move forward and learn more. By creating an environment where they feel respected, they are more open to learning. Establishing rapport with students shows how much they are valued as individuals and hopefully makes them feel safe to explore new experiences. Rigor is necessary for students to feel challenged to achieve their goals for life.
FCS is learning skills for life!
