The Minnesota State High School League requires athletes to have a physical at least every three years, so this is typically 7th and 10th graders or any first-time athletes. Physicians must complete a form which can be printed from the Badger or GMR school websites, or the Minnesota State High School League website.
August 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the GMR gym there will be a very important rules meeting for athletes and parents. Reviewing district procedures and learning MSHSL requirements will help prevent misunderstandings. Parents may start picking up forms and paying fees at 6:00, then the meeting will begin at 6:30 followed by team meetings.
LifeCare will provide cognitive baseline testing early in the season so that in case of a potential concussion, an athlete’s later test can be compared to the baseline test. Fall sports photos are scheduled for August 29.
